IIA started because we found a tremendous void in the services that were being provided to non-Asian companies trying to do business in Asia.
SMEs in Europe, North America, and elsewhere do not have the resources to enlist large consulting firms to assist them in Asia, and we found that these large consulting firms are not giving their smaller customers the time and effort they derserve. We also find that the SMEs are more interesting to work with because the level of innovation and entrepreneurship inside these companies is the type of environment we enjoy working in ourselves.
IIA staff come from many different technology/industry backgrounds, but all of us have worked for SMEs and, therefore, we understand more clearly the needs of our clients.
